The Liberty Belles
In support of our armed servicemen and women, we proudly salute all branches of the military to include
the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard .
As The Liberty Belles , we dress in vintage suits, peek-a-boo
pumps, and coiffed hairstyles. We next capture audiences in a nostalgic experience
reminiscent of the patriotic era of 1940's U.S.O. shows, military pride, and
some of the best songs to emerge from World War II (WW II) from those fabulous
entertainers Patty, Maxine, and Lavern ----better known as The Andrews Sisters
. Or perhaps you remember The Chordettes . Then came Bette Midler who also pays
tribute in her own special way to those nostalgic hit songs. The Liberty
Belles honor this very special 20th century era by paying tribute
to many a great song and singer.
Do you remember Walter Winchell? From the 1920's through the 50's, virtually
everyone in America knew his name. Not only was Mr. Winchell a flamboyant gossip
columnist superstar, he became a self-appointed trendsetter and trend-stopper.
In his efforts to dissuade the public his scathing diatribes about entertainers
sometimes backfired, and he instead became very helpful to many performers in
their success by labeling their songs "controversial." The Liberty Belles add
insight and humor during the performance to this bygone era with interesting
tidbits of the trivia that surround both the song and performer .
So don your Yankee-Doodle Dandy pride, bring your old memories along, and
allow The Liberty Belles to make new memories as we take you
back in time once again to enjoy one of the most magnificent eras of songwriting
history . We'll leave you wondering if those are seams in our stockings or if
we drew the lines down our legs!
